- Up to 8 years of continuous protection — maintained with annual inspections to preserve both system integrity and your $2 million warranty.

Termite Management System FAQs — Ipswich
How much does a Termidor HE termite management system cost in Ipswich?
A Termidor HE system is priced at $66 per lineal metre (inc. GST), with a minimum external perimeter charge of $3,300. The mandatory pre-treatment inspection starts from $185 depending on property size. Most Ipswich homes fall between $3,300 and $6,600 for a complete system. Use our estimator above for a ballpark figure — a written quote can only be provided after an on-site measure.
How does Termidor HE actually work?
Termidor HE creates an undetectable treated zone in the soil around your home. Because termites can’t sense it, they pass through freely and carry it back to the colony — that’s the genuine Termidor Transfer Effect™. It eliminates the colony at its source, not just the individual termites that come into contact with it.
How long does a Termidor HE treatment last?
Up to 8 years, when maintained with annual inspections by an Accredited Applicator. Those annual inspections also keep your $2 million Termidor Assurance Warranty active and valid.
How quickly does Termidor HE start working?
Immediately. A Termidor treated zone offers effective protection from the day it is installed. Colony elimination typically progresses over weeks as the Transfer Effect spreads through the nest.
Is Termidor HE safe for my family and pets?
Yes. When installed by a licensed BASF Accredited Applicator following all label directions, Termidor HE is safe for use around your home. It is applied in the soil, binds tightly to organic matter, and has no impact on your daily routine once installed.
Will heavy rain or flooding affect my treated zone?
Termidor binds tightly to organic matter in the soil and does not dissolve easily in water. It typically remains effective after heavy rain. However, soil movement from flooding can create gaps in the treated zone — a post-flood inspection is strongly recommended to confirm the system is still continuous and your warranty remains valid.
Can I install a termite management system myself?
No. A Termite Management System must be installed by a licensed pest management technician and comply with AS 3660.2-2017. Only a BASF Accredited Applicator can install genuine Termidor HE and provide the $2 million Termidor Assurance Warranty. DIY products do not meet Australian Standards and carry no structural warranty.
How do I know if I have termites?
Common signs include hollow-sounding timber, mud tunnels or shelter tubes on walls and foundations, sagging floors, warped skirting boards, and doors or windows that no longer close properly. Termites are often active for years before visible damage appears — annual inspections are the only reliable way to catch them early.
What should I do if I find termites?
Do not disturb them. Interfering with live termite activity — including disturbing mud leads or galleries — can cause the colony to relocate and make treatment significantly harder or ineffective. Contact Jets Pest Control immediately for a professional inspection.
How do termites get into my home?
Through any gap or crack in your home’s perimeter — expansion joints, service entry points, covered weep holes, and soil contact with timber. Ipswich properties with reactive clay soils, timber subfloors, and landscaping close to the house are particularly vulnerable.
What is the difference between Termidor SC and Termidor HE?
Termidor SC is the original formulation, trusted in Australia since 2002. Termidor HE (High Efficiency) was introduced in 2017 and spreads further through the soil, requiring less drilling and disruption while delivering enhanced protection. Jets Pest Control installs Termidor HE exclusively.
Is a chemical treated zone or a baiting system better for my home?
It depends on your property. A Termidor HE chemical treated zone provides continuous, up-to-8-year protection and is the strongest option for most homes. Baiting systems (such as Trelona ATBS) suit specific situations — sensitive environments or where a full chemical installation isn’t possible. In some cases, both are used together for complete protection.
How do I get rid of white ants?
White ants are termites — they are not ants and require a completely different treatment approach. The only proven method for long-term elimination and protection is a professionally installed Termidor HE Termite Management System, which controls the colony at its source through the Transfer Effect™.
Does my home need a termite inspection before treatment can start?
Yes — by law. Under AS 3660.2-2017, a comprehensive pre-treatment inspection and written Termite Management Plan must be completed before any chemical treated zone can be installed. This inspection maps your home’s risk zones and forms the basis of your legal compliance documentation.
